  3. It's always really nice when people can recognize the problem an animal has and not purposefully do anything to trigger a response. I knew a horse named Tammy Lin who had really bad mouth sensitivity from being a barrel horse. She was at a dude ranch and whenever I would put anyone on her, I would tell them very clearly to be gentle with her mouth because she would get agitated if someone excessively pulled. Anyone could ride her, but I liked to make sure people who knew what they were doing were put on her just to be mindful of her comfort. Even when I rode her, I was gentle with her mouth and never pulled excessively or unnecessarily. She was a really good horse.
