And people will still vote for more of it...

Bingo...The ironic thing is Peter has shown us just that in place after place in this country. You would think some of these folks in the comment section would catch on...

Everyone wants to make tiktok videos...Funny the things you will do when you are hungry. All that opportunity in southern LA, I wonder what all the locals are doing?

@angryrick2330 Hahaha I'm sayin'! Peter's videos bring the idiots out like flies to...well....

Probably be much cheaper to hire locals. Locals don't want to work. It's everywhere. MacDonalds is paying $20 an hour...
2
@illogical_illogical940 The guy he talked to last episode said he was paying his workers something like $17 an hour on top of all the perks. He may have been exaggerating, but surely it would be cheaper to hire local high school kids and young adults. Considering the area and cost of living there I would imagine $15 an hour would be decent wages for a kid.
2
Sounds like you're just looking for an argument. Why not take the dude at face value and enjoy the experience? No one says you have to marry the guy.
2
A great example how libs only see and hear what fits their narrative. You totally ignored what this guy was getting paid and what hoops the farmer has to jump through to get him into this country to work. Go back to the last video for even more information on this. It would be far cheaper to just pay a local $20 an hour. Americans are lazy, no one will do that job.
2
@ES-qt6yo That's the cool thing about capitalism though. If no one will work for 7.25 then the employers are forced to pay more. A minimum wage was never intended to be a "living" wage. It is what you pay high school kids to flip burgers. The fact that this farmer can't find anyone local to do this work for what he is paying imported labor is because no one local wants to do that kind of work.
2
You didnt listen to him very well for not having a political bias. Didn't you hear what he said about illegals?
2
They find a way to get a government check. Whether for some faux PTSD or unemployment or living on student loans, they find ways not to work.

Don't you watch CNN? Everyone in the US is a racist...

Did you hear how much poor exploited Jose was making?

Ever since the digital age came in the world has gone to hell. Not saying that computers and internet don't vastly improve life, certainly they do. I mean, we are here watching this video and that is a great thing. But it is a double-edged sword, and unfortunately it has caused us to become fat and lazy.
1
Proof? It is easy to make shit up. How do you know what this farmer would hire a local for? Seems to me he would happily pay $20 and not have to worry about the rest. What tax credits?
1
But supposing all of that is true. I would go with the Mexicans myself. Hard workers, do the job, cheerful and helpful, you can count on them and they don't complain. Compared to an entitled lazy brat that cant put down the cell phone?
1
@strongerthanyouallday aw, you still mad at your boyfriend?
1
@illogical_illogical940 Perhaps. And in the farmer's shoes O am going with the Mexican in that case. Better worker. Better work ethics. Doesn't constantly complain, just does his job.

No one wants to work anymore. You want the wealth? Take the gamble. Put your money on the line. Take the risk. How much do you think someone should be paid to flip a hamburger or stock a shelf? Dig a ditch or empty a trash can? And lest you think I am looking down on any of these jobs my favorite job my whole life was a dishwasher for Red Lobster. Good pay, no stress, cake work. I loved it. But face it, you don't deserve $20 an hour for that. Even in this brandon economy...
1
@strongerthanyouallday I worked construction in Florida for many years. Framing and roofing. I had to learn Spanish to communicate with everyone...
1
@JohnnieV If you only know how much "special sauce" you have eaten in your lifetime. 🤣
1
@bonneMaria Actually the gloves are changed when touching something different. Cross contamination is a huge deal on food safety.
1
Didn't you hear what he was paying the Mexican guy? Watch the last episode to get a better idea. Why do you think fast food joints and supermarkets around the country are offering $20 an hour when minimum is far less? You cannot hire people to work.
1
What does any of that have to do with being a "MAGA follower"? Whatever that is...CNN talking point maybe? Anyway...The current president has created this big mess. The laws that are in place have been thanks to the Republicans for the last hundred years. The fact that poor Jose has a harder time these last couple years with his visa is directly tied to the current administration. As is the porous border and giving incentives for the illegals to come to this country for political gerrymandering purposes. I wonder who is being lied to here? Go watch some of Peter's border videos. Unfortunately, if you want anything to be left of this country in four more years you need to start looking towards Trump, if for no other reason than to straighten out this border mess...never mind the economy...

You don't think the farmer realizes this? Don't you think he has tried to find local help? Do you think he wants to jump through all those hoops when he could just pay some high school kid a basic wage? Think man....think...
