  1. Police get trained in unarmed combat and weapons training for maybe 2 weeks of a six-month course. There is no requirement for to them to continue practicing when they finish they're two weeks of training. Training and then not continuing to practice for months or years after is useless. Taking a refresher course for a few hours once a year or maybe once every 2 or 3 years like they get for their taser certification is again useless.
