  2. also successive governments have shot their own feet in making it difficult for foreign investors to set up businesses. the main reason is local conglomerates having politicians in their pocket to protect against foreign competition.

  3. american citizenship has a lot of advantages esp in business and, since india doesnt allow dual nationalities, they are forced to choose. people feel helpless at the incompetence of government, backward mentality of large swaths and the corrupt politicians manipulating the masses. this brain & wealth drain cause many patents / jobs / skills to shift abroad in a self-sustaining downward spiral. ..... but to move to developed countries, one need to have a certain amount of money unaffordable to most people and that give the impression of the rich leaving.
