here's a tip the next time you complain abt privileges and headstarts: BLAME YOUR PARENTS !! blame them for being poorer than average, blame them for not improving their standard of living in every subsequent generation, blame them for having too many children. do you know why asians are successful in america? their parents sacrificed personal happiness so their children & grandchildren could have better lives and this ethos of hard work are instilled in their children BY EXAMPLE !!! if you live in a household where your parents work 70 hour weeks and save every penny they make, you will work hard if not out of gratitude at least out of guilt.

you people whine too much do too little. if you dont earn a lot of money, ditch the apartment and rent a room. if you cant get a good job, study stem. if you dont have the brains for stem, study nursing or technical skills. if you cant afford a house, save for a down payment and rent the place out until the mortgage is paid off with early repayments. for christ sake you are in america, a land of opportunities. if you cant take advantage of opportunities, then leave because there is a long line full of skilled, ambitious and self-taught english-proficient people willing to take your place. the world doesnt owe you a favor and when it comes to pity there are plenty of 3rd worlders more deserving of that spot more than you. stop expecting help from the government and stop blaming the rich for everything. you should be asking the internet how to improve your life and DO as advised, not what you want !!

people should stop scapegoating every problem towards a single entity. these cumbersome laws made by politicians are the results of thousands of frivolous and vexatious lawsuits lodged in the name of public good. citizens living on the fringes are the results of media selling the pipe dream that everyone should pursue jobs they like instead of what society need. liberal ideologies are good for freedom and individual rights but they are currently on steroids. before anyone starts blaming the rich and politicians for these problems, find out why these laws are created in the first place and the possible consequences of having them reversed. a society is only as good as its people, stop whining about everything under the sky.

@SignificantPressure100 i have got news for you: people die of covid19 mostly because humans are selfish. those under the weather wont stay home, those who felt immune wont take precautions, those with money dont share their resources to help as much as they can. the hard inconvenient truth is something neither politicians nor media will tell you because humans are basically irrational with attribution bias. think abt it.

@christinewalker7759 otto travelled there illegally and disrespected the country as many westerners have done in third world countries. as far as collective punishment goes, this treatment is fair game for north koreans. few media ever report the source of nk's animosity, the us indiscriminately bombed 80% of the country as a show of force (civilian buildings, bridges, hospitals alike) and imposed debilitating sanctions upon leaving (as they did in afghanistan, iran and venezuela) that led them to poverty. you dont know what it's like to be at the receiving end of us hegemony. you cant import cheaper food from other countries nor export local products efficiently when you are surrounded by hostile sea ports who would be punished by the us for the simple act of providing refuelling & repair services. americans have to drop this mentality that '60% of afghans deserve to die from hunger and 90% of venezuelans deserve to live in poverty' just because they do not cater to the whims of the us. because we know the us do tolerate dictatorships - biden let saudi off the hook for the murder of khashoggi.

@kaylaxaysana25 i feel sorry for otto, juvenile delinquency shouldnt be punished with death. but im not a north korean either, my country didnt get tortured and slandered for 70 years by americans. precedents suggest otto would have been saved by prisoner exchange. but otto is a nobody and the us probably holds some higher ranking officers with more intel more leverage in prisons like guantanamo/bagram.

@SignificantPressure100 that would imply the people doesnt have the wisdom to make good decisions and worship politicians like religion. whats the point of democracy then? i kept myself updated on news of ground zero (china, korea, iran) and decided to turn my family into a dictatorship for a whole year to keep us safe with masks soaps moisturisers. i alienated some neighbors, missed out on a lot of sex isolating myself like a leper and watched in horror as people walked the streets like everything is gonna be okay. what sacrifices did these people make? even the kids did their part by taking online jobs for $4-5/hour.

@Weiner-Worm YES, absolutely !! you work primarily for your family's needs and passion is just secondary. if you dont care about financial security, then dont complain about the rich. nursing makes good money and you dont need the brains or loans of a medical school to be one. you think people want to go into nursing for $10/hour !? when the pandemic hits, they all went on strike for an increase in hazard pay. so much for passion. lay off the koolaid.

@maggie960-f2n i have a computer science degree and financial skills as a cfa charterholder. my first job in a third world country 13 years ago pays $300/month. with a little bit of luck, you can prosper simply by studying hard. ps: most people are LAZY - something the media and politicians will never tell you.

@earledemise5827 if you are in a developed country and you are not disabled, your circumstances are the choices you make. a company doesnt owe you any more than the work you do. dont like being an employee? be your own boss. remember .... i started with $300/month in a third world country before moving to the states and it took me a year just to save for one measly exam fee($700). i know what laziness and entitlement looks like. the luck i mentioned is applicable only for those born in poor countries, not developed ones.
