  1. o wow i have never seen a video so full of lies from vice. note that im not a pinoy. the estimated death count is early 10'000s not twenties. duterte's vice president is elected separately and also the leader of the opposition. most importantly the campaign works ..... yes it works and the change is visible on the streets !!!even rappler, employer of the smug source in this video, admitted drug users have gone down by a few millions. thats really a small price to pay. no effective method utilised by third world countries will ever be right in the eyes of the west because poor countries dont have us$10,000/addict to spare for rehab much less cater to recividism ratea . if the west wants to donate an annual $30 billion (or 1/3 of the govt budget), then philippines should use the western way. duterte's term has produced tangible results in a short period of time. you cant eradicate corruption among officers making a meager $5000/year, not against the kind of bribes drug money could offer.

  2. because thats how you clean the streets. when 70% of the country make only a few hundred dollars per month, ofc the target would affect mostly poor neighborhoods.
