@arcanei cant be soft on crime and make people give up their guns.

@arcanei other countries dont have a combination of divided democracy and 2nd amendment - which requires a supermajority to overturn. the state doesnt have powers to interfere in personal lives (e.g. ambition, upbringing, discipline etc) to reduce crime at the grassroots level so the best thing society can do is teach criminals a lesson. either the state do a door-to-door sweep to remove guns using dictatorial emergency powers or ...... give everyone a gun so criminals think twice. cant ignore one but not the other.
