@Tinkering4Time It's not racial pseudoscience, it's CULTURAL prejudice in the interpretations he's trying to debunk. What are you on about? Samaritans and Jews are literally the same race, but different cultures. And there absolutely was animosity between the two.

+Timothy McLean "This argument is yet another blow against anyone who claims religious institutions can do something no secular institution can." I'm sorry but no, no it isn't.

@DasWarVorbestimmt Templars were actually quite level-headed historically, especially compared to lay Christians

@GhostCapital Pretty sure it was made so he could do a sponsored video what with how the video is largely fluff but has a very smooth transition into an ad at the end.

+Myth Odiir Jesus existed without a doubt, the only question is of his divine status.

So basically the title is clickbait, we do understand it, but the prejudice and elements of the story already known go deeper? Your "unique interpretation" is nearly 1-to-1 with traditional views. There's not enough difference to call the other variant "misunderstood". You're not stumbling on something here that's a revelation at odds with the traditional view. Not a fan of the deceit to get clicks.

@liquidh5226 It's theistic contrarionism, essentially. The "quirky" obscure religious belief because there's nobody from their own sect to question or scrutinize their beliefs. Anyone doing so is starting with them being a heretic. Spiritual individualism but without the new-age crystals. Or neo-paganism without the corpse paint and horns.

@cdreid9999 Sure lol

Which is correct

I've noticed people seem very willing to accept any half-baked (hah) "rational" scientific explanation for religious experiences rather than acknowledging we don't know everything. So this isn't exactly surprising that the fumes theory doesn't hold much water.

@funnybunny954 Most of what you said isn't even how Christianity works
