5:20 Qualifying Galadriel, the most powerful and old elf in Middle-Earth at that point who is directly involved with the Fellowship succeeding, the Ring being destroyed, and generally preserving beauty and happiness in her corner of the world as a "Man eating spider who needs to die" is some incredible oversimplification/mischaracterization lol
Also same for Eowen "needing to marry and settle down". Choosing to be at peace after losing her adoptive father figure and basically getting PTSD from being in a battle where the majority of her people died isn't at all a bad thing. The point of her is not that she's an uppity woman needing to know her place, it's that she's a person who wanted to die in battle due to basically suicidal obsession with warrior culture, and realized after she experienced it that war wasn't so great and glorious after all, finding new purpose in rebuilding during peace time.
I'd also hardly qualify Shelob, a massive eldritch spider, as a woman in any reasonable sense of the word.
But yeah Rosie and Arwen aren't really characters lol. Goldberry was neat tho imo
Anyways despite my opposition to one small statement in an hour long video, I do want to make sure it's clear that it's an awesome video and I quite enjoyed it! The Scouring of the Shire imo arguably could've been a good short film on its own, separate from the movie trilogy itself.
