  2. Gorbachev helped the world so much to bring us out of a cold war. He was 2nd generation Nikita Khrushchev and instrumental to put a stop to the Chernobyl nuclear disaster along with president Ronald Reagan. That was a very frightening time. Got along though. He became an ambassador tor the fresh water of the world and spent a good deal of his time toward that office. I do not think he actually left office.

  5. I would like children today to reflect on cold war history while Michail Gorbachev came to power in the the Soviet Union.The reason is that it is NOt BEING TAUGHT IN CLASSROOMS THROUGHOUT NORTH AMERICA.
