  1. I was in emergency with sepsis a couple of weeks after an 8 hour abdominal surgery for cancer. I was asked 3 times if I was going to sign a DNR until I yelled “resuscitate the shit out of me.” This was during COVID in Canada. I believe that unless I ask for a DNR it should not be offered.

  5. As a bladder cancer survivor don’t get your symptoms checked by YouTube! Dr. John is wonderful but he’s not diagnosing your particular condition. If you doc tells you that you have blood in your urine follow it up urgently. I avoided the issue and ended up having to have my bladder removed. They also took out my prostate. I’m alive and well now, but my life has changed and chemo and surgery was rough.
