Yep, it's hard not to notice the BBC fellating itself over it's 100 (dabatable) years.. it's such an obviously desperate attemt to make themselves look great, like a part of British culture, at how necessary and important they are..
The reality is though, the BBC hasn't been great for a lomg time. The majority of it's content is very weak, it's political bias is unmistakable, and the very way the BBC is funded, by having to pay for the BBC whether you watch or want to watch the BBC or not, just by watching other live chennels, is illogical, unfair and archaic. People should be able to watch non BBC channels without having to pay the BBC £180 a year TO the BBC, and i can't believe that such a ridiculous system is still a reality. It's about time the licence fee was scrapped, and the BBC had to either fund itself the same as every other channel has to, by advertising, or it was scrapped completely, the licence fee is now the officially the most hated tax in the UK by a big majority, the UK public no longer wants to fund the BBC, this is loud and clear.
I will point out one slight error in this video. You said you have to have a Tv licence 'to own a Tv', but this is not the case. You can own a Tv without a license, as long as you don't wanth any live broadcast Tv channels or online, which is still think is unfair however, because you should logically be able to watch non-BBC channels and content without paying the BBC, as i said earlier.

A great piece! It's about time we had a meaningful piece like this about the bias and culture going on at the BBC. All the BBC seems to do these days, is do biased reporting against anything that isn't left, be pro EU and biast against brexit, and harass people for money. The first problem, is that it is its own complaints commission, no independent complaints commission, and the other and perhaps biggest problem, is their funding method and how ridiculous and archaic that is. A licence fee is ridiculous in itself, but it's even crazier when you consider that it's only the BBC that gets all the licence fee money, yet you need to pay this fee to watch the 99% of terrestrial channels that are nothing to do with the BBC and fund themselves through advertising.. Absolutely bizzarre state of affairs... The BBC should be forced to fun themselves, just like all the other channels, then maybe they would feel an incentive that make content that people actually want to watch and value.
