  1. A top tip for the Gears games Luke; ALWAYS choose to play the tutorials, because they introduce you to not only any new gameplay mechanics, but in some cases, introduces you to new characters; i really advise you don't skip them.

  3. 4:35 It's called the Rodie Run, i believe after rock band rodies that need to keep their heeds down as they run across or in front of the stage. It's not something to be used all the time as such; it's more for running to cover or across open spaces while you're under fire, hence the keeping his head down and it being called the Rodie run 😊

  7. 5:39 You can keep the chansaw revved and ready, as long as you are holding the chainsaw button, and all you have to do, is run into someone while its like that to chansaw them, so you can have it reving long before you make contact with the enemy. It's actually great for taking out those 4 legged wretches, because they have to run up to you to attack you, so if you have your chansaw revving, you chansaw them as soon as they get to you 😁👌 One thing to note though, is if you are hit by bullets, or melee attacked from behind and maybe the sides, it will interupt you and stop the chainsaw from revving, so you have to rev it up again, that's why that wretch was stopping your chansaw, because it was hitting you. Loving your Gears playthrough so far, and you are in for an absolute treat with this series mate.

  9. 25:52 Whole Gears of War 2 isn't remastered, it's actually more detailed than than the Gears 1 Remaster, because Gears 2 and 3 were upscaled to 4K on Xbox One X and Series X. The game was already looking great, but the resolution upscale makes it look even better.

  10. I totally get the guns reason; there are simply too many of them around there, and they are too easy to get. There are now mass shooting every day (I'm not even exaggerating) in the USA, and as long as they keep pumping out guns, it's only going to get worse, not better; even he schools aren't safe; there's no frilkkin way I'd want to live there.. On top of that, you have the healcare system, the tornados, earthquakes and the dangerous wildlife, no thanks..

  11. Good playthrough. I have a few tips that you'll find useful i think. Glad you went for the default look for Shepard, as he looks cool and iconic. If you tap the weapon wheel selection button rather than holding it, you toggle between the your current weapon and the last weapon you used. Saves time in the weapons wheel if you want to go back to the weapon you was using last. Yes indeed, gredades have to be detonated yourself by pressing the grenade button a second time. They're useful when you get the hang of them. You can zoom further with the sniper rifile, i believe its the left or right thumbstick button, i can't remember which, but you can definately zoom with the sniper rifles. You can indeed wear heavy armours, when you have invested enough in armour skill points. You can start adding sniper rifle skill points when you have reached a certain number of Assault Rifle skill points. Lastly, i wouldn't bother watching any Mass Efect lore videos as there will likely be spoilers. You're better of sticking to the Codex entrys in the game, as it introduces and adds info about things at the right time.

  12. Hell yeah you need to play all the Gears of War games; i am so down for this! I'm surprised you havn't played them already to be honest, but glad you are now; these are among my favourite games of all time. Not only is the gameplay fantastic,but it has great characters and an epic overal story.
