  1. it would be in russias best interest to turn nordstream back on after maintenance. They cant really sell the gas anywhere else, without building more pipelines or lng facilities first. So they would just loose profit. Using energy as a weapon could also scare off future customers, and make it much harder to sign new contracts in asia.

  2.  @FightCollective  They still can't transport gas from western russia to asia. They have to build pipelines or lng facilities first. But why would any country choose to build expensive pipelines, unless russia can prove they are a reliable supplier no matter what tensions may arise in the future?
