as someone who works in manufacturing, i have always hated globalism. Most people don't seem to realize how much innovation is made on the production floor. So when large companies move production to the east, we are not just losing jobs, we are also losing knowhow and and ability to create better products.

@AmericanAdvancement you must be a millionaire then? Because only the rich are going to have a great time in the near future.

@TheGreatOne-gw7xh it's more like Europe putting pressure on the US.

@newtubevector Denmark was doing just fine before China joined WTO in 2001. The Danish welfare state has really only been degrading since then.
12
@AaronVanWolfen maersk can barely be considered a Danish company anymore. Multinational corporations like maersk is another thing i hate about globalism. They destroy local competition, and pay very little tax. Maersk often manage to pay less than 1% of their profit in tax. The Danish welfare state was just fine before China joined WTO in 2001. And it has actually been degradering since then.

@onmywayup94 only for the wealthy shareholders. What is Trump going to do that will benefit you?
9
@PP-sj7pl what exactly is Trump going to do that will make your life better?
8
russia is the only country in Europe that has annexed parts of their neighbors territory since WW2...
7
this was very interesting. Thank you for reading through that insane bs and giving us a summary.
3
@conconmc you think we don't know how to make a computer in Europe? Really?
3
Brics is just another useless forum where some leaders can have their photo taken. It will never accomplish anything useful.
3
@meteorknight999 the gas flow was shut off a month before the pipeline was damaged.
3
it means less influence for the US around the world, especially in Europe. And that will cost you. It will also mean less arms sales to Europe, something the military industrial complex is going to be very unhappy about. Good job donny...
2
globalism can only work if everyone is playing by the same rules. And that will never happen, trying to screw each other over is human nature.
2
@meteorknight999 dude, just be honest. Russia doesn't like NATO, because it makes it harder for russia to attack their neighbors...
2
@sonneh86 modern manufacturing is automated. I spent most of my workday in front of a computer, in fact i am working right now. The rest of my time is spent on maintenance and repair of the machinery. Denmark is a part of the EU's single market, and i am a big fan of that. When i say "we", I mean the EU.
2
@santostv. this is a common misunderstanding, so let me explain: Yes, we have a shortage of workers, but it is skilled workers that we need. We get plenty of applications from people who want to work, but they don't have the skills. Unskilled workers are pretty useless in this trade, no matter how cheap they are. Modern manufacturing is automated, and you can't just hire a random guy to program and maintain machinery that costs more than a house. It takes 4,5 years to become an industrial technician here in Denmark.

Yeah, they should be careful what they wish for.
2
@effexon "the west" includes most of Europe, north America and Australia. Is there any kind of resources that can't be found on those 3 continents?
2
@meteorknight999 of course they knew, it was done by themselves.
2
If russia is doing so great, then why are they still stuck in the Donbass? It's been 2,5 years, and there is no end in sight.
2
@hydronpowers9014 Norway supplies most of Germany's gas now. They have 3 pipelines going to Germany already.
2
a referendum with armed soldiers looking over your shoulder while you vote, is not a real referendum...

@sorro9384 civilian casualties in 2021: 25 Civilian casualties 2020: 21 Source: UN Not much of a genocide...

NATO has been at russia's border for more than 20 years. Even longer if you include the small border with Norway. Why is it suddenly such a problem?
1
@meteorknight999 NATO can only expand when a new country applies for membership. So the real question is, why do most of russia's neighbors apply for membership? Could it be because they worry about russian aggression? If russia doesn't like NATO expansion, maybe they should stop threatening their neighbors...
1
that seems very unlikely, russia is no longer a reliable supplier. Maybe some countries like Slovakia and Hungary would like to, but the pipelines through Ukraine will be closed soon. Nordstream is gone, and Yamal is already closed. Natural gas will be phased out instead.
1
NATO can only expand if a new country applies for membership. So why have most of russia's neighbors applied for membership?
1
it's a video for Europeans...
1
russia invaded Ukraine. Any sane person can see that russia is bad, and Ukraine is "good" compared to russia
1
@effexon but there are also a lot of untapped resources. Brics could probably cause some short term problems for the west, but it would backfire in the long run.
1
i would like to see them try. Even countries like China and India still receive foreign aid from the west...
1
@ZahiraLaouini you know the "petrodollar" is a myth, right?
1
@ZahiraLaouini there is not much to explain. There is no Petro dollar agreement, never was.
