@hydronpowers9014 Norway supplies most of Germany's gas now. They have 3 pipelines going to Germany already.

NATO has been at russia's border for more than 20 years. Even longer if you include the small border with Norway. Why is it suddenly such a problem?

@meteorknight999 NATO can only expand when a new country applies for membership. So the real question is, why do most of russia's neighbors apply for membership? Could it be because they worry about russian aggression? If russia doesn't like NATO expansion, maybe they should stop threatening their neighbors...

that seems very unlikely, russia is no longer a reliable supplier. Maybe some countries like Slovakia and Hungary would like to, but the pipelines through Ukraine will be closed soon. Nordstream is gone, and Yamal is already closed. Natural gas will be phased out instead.
