  1. The energy crisis will turn out to be like "the toiletpaper crisis" back in 2020. A lot of panic and inflated prices, and then nothing really happens. Russia supplied 155bcm, or 38% of EU's gas consumption in 2021. Imports from other countries have increased by 50bcm in 2022, and russia has delivered at least 40bcm so far. So the actual gas shortage is around 65bcm, or roughly 15% compared to 2021. Natural gas accounted for 32% of EU's primary energy consumption in 2021. That means the energy used for heating, electricity and industry. So the actual energy shortage is 4.8% compared to 2021.

  2.  @vmundi  and that is why most people and companies will use much less energy compared to last year. Some companies have closed down completely. So what happens to the price when there is enough supply, but less demand?
