guess putin is starting to worry that he might lose the European natural gas market permanently. Russia is only supplying around 8% of EU's natural gas demand now, and storage levels are actually increasing at the moment. Most of the market share that russia has lost will probably be permanent.

sorry to burst your bubble, but the dollar is still the global reserve currency. I don't see that changing any time soon...

the current natural gas price in Europe is lower than it was a year ago. It is still high compared to 2020, but the price has slowly been going down for months and that will most likely continue.
5
not really, putin wants to expand his empire. He was always gonna do this .
3
so if russia manages to conquer their much smaller neighbor, that will somehow benefit asia, africa and south america? You're not making any sense.
2
@isabelomenyebolekia3109 who's panicking? The big crisis was back in August, when the gas price was 345 euro/MWh. Today it's 76 euro/MWh, which is manageable for most people and companies in Europe.
2
@jaishree701 latest numbers for the Eurozone is 3,2% real growth in 2022, and the oil price is around 83$ a barrel.
2
@shashankkolhe4111 Nope. And you have no sources to support that claim.
2
@gkbbkg64 none of those companies are ending production in Europe, you're talking bollocks.
2
@binoemixtv9395 really? I haven't seen any of that, but if you say so....
2
@eucklynreid6074 there are always protests somewhere in Europe, nobody pays much attention to them. It's normal and legal in a democratic country.
2
Ukraine is just getting some of Nato's leftovers. And russia is barely making progress, their entire spring offensive has only amounted to taking half of a city 😄
2
@shashankkolhe4111 there are no sanctions on natural gas yet, if russia want to sell more gas then they could just increase the flow through the remaining pipelines. If they prefer to use third parties then it's their problem.

@Nobody-Nowhere which part don't you agree with?
1
@johnmandiram the russians can go f*ck themselves...
1
Nato's main strength is air and naval power. If this was actually a war with Nato, all russian ports would be blockaded and russia would be bombed from the sky.
1
@rosreaviemore727 unlike you, i don't live in a fantasy world. Saying that you want to dump the dollar is one thing, but until it actually happens, it's nothing but talk.
1
what does multipolar world actually mean?
1
and what is your country going to gain from this multipolar world?
1
nice twisting of the truth there. The Polish refinery has a long term contract, and they have no legal right to cancel it since pipeline oil is not sanctioned. And the amount of oil is pretty small anyway. The part about Germany seems to be fake news, notice how they didn't name a buyer?
1
and why should Nato agree to that? Even if russia somehow manages to win the war, it doesn't really hurt Nato.
1
this "new world order" is not really new, we're just going back in time to the cold war. And those who side with russia will fall behind just like last time we did this.
