I wonder if any of the Lotuseaters' team has ready any of the Moral Intuitionists as they would be very relevant to all of this discussion. Examples: Thomas Reid (more popular than Hume in his time, and went the opposite direction of Kant to Hume's questions), G.E. Moore, W.D. Ross, Michael Huemer, etc.

Any love for Thomas Reid, or Agent Causation Libertarian Free Will?

Mackie's argument just redefines what is commonly thought as "ought" and makes it subjective rather than objective. I am an ethical non-naturalist which means I believe that Hume's guillotine is correct. I believe that ethical naturalism (you can derive an ought from an is) commits a naturalistic fallacy (see G E Moore). Note that "non-natural" does not mean supernatural/divine. It does mean that "goodness" cannot be reduced to natural properties such as wants, needs, nor pleasures.
