  1. MonkeyPox is a DNA based virus which means it has a slow mutation cycle, it is only transmitted via physical contact with an individual that has symptoms. Its is not very transmissible with an RO < 1 and the current breakout is among sexually active gay men. If MonkeyPox could create a pandemic it would have happened decades ago. How to avoid MonkeyPox ? Don't get down and dirty at the pride parade.
