As a self-employed freelance artist, there are no weekends and no days off, and that's a blessing. It forced me to make my day to day life enjoyable instead of suffering 5 days a week and enjoying 2. And then I realized, I could have done this long ago when I had a regular job and saved myself all the depression.

I just stopped gaming years ago and never looked back. Why whould you waste your time on something that's not even real? Just get more hours of sleep or go do something IRL

That's great, having the experience and wisdom of a 70 year old at 32 is something I'd wish for

Then what are you doing here watching youtube videos and commenting on them? You hate your life, you don't have the luxury of wasting time. Get your sh*t together, you're a man and your wife depends on you. No one is gonna pitty you. You either can keep suffering or start building the life you want today.

That's all on you, you can make the next years of your life way better than your childhood or keep suffering like you're doing now. It's not that the world got worse, it's that you didn't do anything, or not enough, to create your ideal future. In chidlhood everything is given to you, but in adulthood you have to work on yourself and improve in order to get what you want. By your defeatist mindset I can tell you didn't put enough effort and now you regret it. It's time to start doing it.

Don't waste your time on games

Play and relaxation should still be productive, and with productive I don't mean that they should make you money or something like that, I mean that If you feel guilty after playing videogames for example, that's your mind telling you that videogames are not good for you and that you'd be probably better of taking a walk or something like that, no one ever regretted or felt gultiy about taking a walk to see the sunset for example.

You know the problem, that's a good thing, now you need to take action, go to therapy to improve your situation then

When you get to 35 you will realize not only that 35 is young, but also you'd wish that you started studying now. I'm 30 and I feel younger, I'm healthier, fitter and happier than when I was 20. You need to start building now If you expect to have something in the future

It's not autism or ADHD, that's just how the human brain works, we are goal oriented creatures. Of course you should feel guilty about wasting your time, If we didn't, we would still be living in caves. Convincing ourselves that wasting out lives consuming content is normal (which sadly it is nowadays), it's what leads to depression. You're literally robbing your future self of oportunities If you waste your time today, and you will hate yourself for it, as you should.

It's just called being human, that's how the brain works, you should be always working towards a meaningful goal otherwise you will be depressed, that's how god or nature wired us, that's how we evolved

?? If 2025 was the problem everyone would say that, but there's people thriving, I'm one of them, it's not 2025, it's you, and only you can change it.

The world has always been like that, constantly changing, and it's gonna be like that forever so it's in your best interest to get used to it and find the way to be happy in this new world. You can't go back, adapt or die.

The thing is, no one ever NEEDS to play videogames. There's not such thing as a need to play videogames unless you're an addict, and If you are, you should probably stop. There's much more healthy things to do with your time for fun and relaxation than being in front of a screen overstimulating yourself
