  1. MIT obtained evidence that cause of Highway Jams is cars driving too close one enother, not respecting distance indications. A quite easy way to reduce Traffic Jams would be having some kind of automatic system that regulates vehicle speed as never being too close to the vehicle in front. There are currently systems that indicate if a car is going too close to an still object when parking, and braking automatically if the speed will make vehicle crash onto the car in front. Technology exists, just the industry or regulatory bodies action is missing. Blessings +
