The battle of Kalka river in 1223 thanks to which the Mongol Empire subjugated Kievan Ruthenia, at that time belonging to the European civilisation, happened exactly by the same river (current name: Kalchyk) which flows through Mariupol. The clash of the same civilisations takes place in the same place, 800 years later.

@Hlord1109 Russia is the heir of the Mongol Empire. It is part of a turan civilization, not european civilization, that is why it is and was so often misunderstood by the West. They are simply thinking in different values and frames than us.

@Hlord1109 I am speaking of civilisation defined as the the rules that govern the life of society. Not by ethnos or language or piece of architecture. Religion has no meaning in the turan civilization, there it is just a tool to rule over the society (what you can clearly observe in amoral Patriarch of Moscow praising the cruel and unjust war). The rules of turan civilization are the same in the Huns, Awars, Mongols, Moscovians, Rusian Tsarate, USSR and the Putin's Russia. The few of the differences from European civilization: 1. Militarism. Organising society as a horde. 2. The ruler is not bound or judged by any morality. It is only important that he seems strong and powerful, then he has all support no matter what crimes he does. 3. No concept of objective truth, defined by Aristotle. For turan people truth is subjective, a truth of the moment. Therefore only science they develop or are able to imitate is practical, mostly military concerned. Always nations of this civilizations are an epitomy of liers 4. Very little value of human live, health, well- being. 5. Collectivism- well being of the horde is more important than the individual. 6. High level of corruption- what we call public servants are paid very little and are expected both by ruler and society to feed themselves out of bribes 7. Mongol law of Yassa, wherein if the one tribe of the horde wants to leave the horde it has to be punished by the rest of the horde- and that is the only reason why Ukraine has been attacked after they split from the Moscow sphere of influence.

@Hlord1109 you see you call all this things as corrupted, degraded, bad. And that is the very thing why the West never undersand Russia, they suppose that Russian think the same. For the turan civilization these things are not degraded, corrupted, bad- it is just normal way of things. In fact they are suprised after emigration that it can be and is any different elsewhere. I've read russian Internet lately and I assert that Russians collectively (90%) support war, they are calling for cruelties and the support for their khan Putin only grew stronger Only the spectacular losses on the front make few of them think, which is also a feature of turan civilisation- after the lost war the khan has to die and a horde disperses.The last far fetched example is as wrong as any simmetrism that russian trolls are doing all the time, showing beautifly the doublethink and lack of the concept of objective truth of the turan civilisation
