I don't quite understand it. Hungary, was not an independent state before the I ww but only an authonomous region within the Austrian Empire. So the whole "greater Hungary" was always an artificial concept. They haven't "lost" anyting in the I ww but recreate their independent state within borders where Hungarians were majority.

@kristofkorodi6584 But there were no majority Hungarians living there when the state of Hungary has been created in 1918. Looking back at 1000 ad is like Israeli trying to justify their war crimes by Torah. And why to look exactly at 1000 ad and not i.e. at 500 ad?
