  1. Putin has been in zugzwang, that's why all he does is wrong. What could he do after the attack on Crimean bridge? Nuclear answer? Ridiculous, instant end of Russia and to himself. Not to answer at all? Showing of weakness, lose power in Russia. Terroristic attack with rockets from strategic reserve? Weakening Russian military capabilities and crushing international relations for little or no gain. + Putin explicitly and publicly plead guilty of being a war criminal, giving orders to target civilians.

  2. The more apparent is the need to proliferate nuclear weapons around the world. If the USA won't even retaliate agianst attack to its ally, then in 3 years time all countries with nuclear plants will have it.
