With air transport this grain wouldn't be worth the fuel used to transport it. The only thing US could do is to help escort civilian ships on Ukraine and international waters. But it seems unwilling to do so.

@bicker31 To be fair it was the US and the UK that guaranteed Ukraine safety for letting go of nuclear weapons in Budapest Memorandum. Other countries simply have no obligations to Ukraine under international law.

@bicker31 Put it simply- If the US chose not to help Ukraine, other European countries wouldn't simply do anything because they are weaker than Russia plus have no obligations to Ukraine. If the US choses to help Ukraine and wants their allies to do the same, then it should participate accordingly to its potential. There are European countires whose contribution in GDP share is much higher than the US (and you can't expect small countries do the same as the US in the nominal terms), there some European countries who simply don't want to help and only pretend. Europe is not a single entity.
