I would go with the canon movies of Star Wars 7-9. I find the legends of Star Wars in books and comics to be the true sequels.

@Elizabeth Stamper Well, probably because the sequels were already done in legends with books and comics, and the canon movies changed it all and was completely different from legends, and most people think the legends were better.
