  1. I for one like the 1984 movie of Dune. I doubt the upcoming movie adaptation will be as good as this one. In fact, not many adaptations ever beat the old classics. Not even the live remakes of Disney's 2D classic movies.

  2. I thought the 1984 Dune was good. It had Patrick Stewart from Star Trek in it, the action music was like the action music from the movie Flash Gordon, the Baron and his nephews had that true villain look, and the sound weapons were cool. It makes me wish they were in the story book. When I watched the 2000 mini series, it made me think of that bad remake they did with the 1958 horror movie classic The Blob. I doubt the 2020 will do any better than the 1984 movie. In fact, not many reboots ever beat the old classics. Lastly, I thought the costumes in the 1984 movie was good, especially the villains costumes.
