  1. 7. Reality can be harsh, this is true. Just like it's harsh to learn that most dinosaurs were not reptiles, but instead huge mutant birds with feathers. Or learning that most fairy tales were based on gross and violent history. Or learning that we Americans did some cruel things in the past. Like driving the Indians out of their homes, or stealing Texas from the Mexicans, or treating the blacks with cruelty and slavery.
