Just don't f*ck up, don't do something that names everyone lose respect for you. Should I not respect a firefighter or a doctor until I deem personally that they've earned it? Should I keep respecting someone after they killed an elderly woman or someone in a wheelchair? Such a concept,sheesh, isn't this some common sense that you should know at a elementary school age?
