  2.  @christophermaclean8555  WWI: the USA didn't really want to fight and came in very late to the show. WWII: Germany was the biggest economic competitor and the biggest scientific powerhouse. That competition had to be destroyed or controlled. That explains military involvement and the postwar political and military control of Europe. WWII has been very profitable for the USA.

  3. Very nice interview. Always nice to listen to Elon. I do not agree with him, however, about USA benevolence. Any USA act in international diplomacy is self-serving. Whether it is Iraq, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Ukraine, Syria, Guatamala, Iran, etc. I am not sure where Elon has the "benevolence idea" from. Maybe living too long in the USA? Or, is it self-censoring?
