  1. Many whales are even killed after a collision with merchant navy boats. The boats move too fast to avoid. The use of sonar in whale inhabitated areas of the oceans and seas should be prohibited. The high power sonar that is used in some businesses damages the hearing of the whales and interferes with the natural communication of the whales. All shipping has vastly contributed to the pollution of the oceans. The oceans are used as a garbage belt by the humans on the boats. Landlocked humans are destroying the water habitats of the world by pollution from our "civilization". Maybe the whales have done the math! As we know all too well, it takes just a few bright ones to "progress". It gave us nuclear weapons and covid.
