  1. The human race has absolutely not collectively worked towards the present state. Even in a limited timespan of 250 years the USA has not been able to collectively work towards the present state. Segregation, dehumanization, ethnic cleansing, child abduction and genocide of the "us" by the "me" are way more effective to get what you want. That, in a major way, determines the present state.
