What so many peoples of the earth have discovered is that you can never trust western leaders: colonialism, racism, living-at-the-expense-of-the-other" are such an integral element of western power, life and policies. It is not easy to erase 500 years of being and doing, but, politically, we do not even want to redeem ourselves and stretch our hands, in parity and respect, to the other, in spite of the efforts of so many individuals and organizations.
