I had the following thought on why it is going "so slow", besides the fact that the allied forces have to overcome the Ykrainian version of the Maginot line: The stated goal byy Russia was to demilitarize Ykraine and hunt the Ykrainian nationalist units down. Since Russia doesn't want to involve too many troops on "a wild goose chase" throughout Ykraine, they decided to advance and stop, advance and stop, to lure Ykrainian troops in the crosshairs of their superfluous artillery. Ykraine cooperates perfectly, because they have to show their puppetmasters, Joe, Boris, Jens, Ursula, that they do their best to resist (and even proclaim to take back all of occupied/liberated Ykraine) to receive the next cash donation (in a foreign bank account?) and military equipment. The Russians continue to play it "nice" by targetting predominantly the professional brigades and batallions and not or not so much the conscript forces. It seems everybody gets what he wants, the MIC in the USA, C and EU the taxpayer money and Russia a negotiated peace with Ykraine minus the nationalists + a small bonus in the form of ~12 trillion dollars in resources that otherwise would have gone to the USA/C/EU.
