and there must be parliamentary control over the EU committee and its president. It should be impossible for an EU president to make a (shady) deal with whatever business, pharmaceutical, military, energy, etc.

@gw7624 It sounds, like you agree with the "french approach" to government. The times of Liberte, Egalite et Fraternite are long gone. I'd rather have democracy above the French approach.
