  6. Read books - Lies My Teacher Told Me or Zinn's A People's History of the U S. Nothing new. U S had a temporary, post ww2, big middle class. Gone now. Never even an American Revolution - just a change of upper class management. Every time 1877 the citizenry tried to improve itself = quashed. That is why they had to get us to believe unions are bad & companies like Walmart are good. Walmart employees frequently depend on food stamps & Medicare, while holding down a full time job! THAT IS THE NEW AMERICA! Who (Republicans via bds of directors & ownership class) sent ALL the manufacturing jobs oversees? Not Dems, but we were blamed for wanting proper treatment if WORKERS! Oversees - rotten work conditions but it is oh so cheap. READ UNDERSTAND what late-stage capitalism has done to our very souls. Do our fiends in Europe worry abt the cost of higher education? College? Where to put elderly grandma? NO THEY DO NOT. But too many Americans brainwashed into thinking that is horrible! That is socialism!
