  1. My dear father, born in 1920 in Detroit, was also a stock boy there. He was flirted with by the pretty shop girls, but was far too shy to respond. He grew up, served in WW2 in the Phillippines, married his sweetheart, built a wonderful life (Detroit & Cleveland) as a business executive. My parents always took us to the Hudson's Thanksgiving Parade. We always just loved the scale & elegance of the old Hudson's. Racism killed Detroit, btw.
