The government implemented strict gun control policies.

Corruption can never run this deep in capitalism because people will stop giving a business their money when it sufficiently pisses them off. However you can't decide to stop giving the government your money or you go to prison for tax evasion.

@MrPereiraAdriano I'm sure saying that makes you feel like a real badass who's sticking it to the man, but Barack Obama only froze the assets of whopping SEVEN INDIVIDUALS in Venezuela, and the US imposed no significant economic sanctions until 2019. There is nothing you weasels won't blame America for.

As long as there are people like Bernie Sanders in the United States, telling us that Walmart pays "starvation wages" (even though these people would kill for a Walmart wage), we'll never be grateful.
3
And there are people here claiming anything less than $15 is a "starvation wage." It would be my dream come true to ship them to Venezuela and let them learn the true meaning of that term.

They are disarmed.

@musikfeedme156 "Corrrupt politicians" can't do this much damage in capitalism because they don't control the meat markets.
1
Sort of like Bernie Sanders and this three homes.
1
@BennyNegroFromQueens America's embargo did not start until March 2019.
1
@yegnadaily The embargoes didn't start until March 2019 factophobe.
1
Venezuelans voted for this, but the repentant don't deserve to suffer.

My dream is to force Bernie Sanders to go to one of these countries and explain to these people how Walmart pays "starvation wages" in his own words. Even on minimum wage in America you guy buy four loafs of bread for the price of an hour of your labor. Imagine how grateful we would be for what we had if politicians like Sanders and AOC weren't constantly filling us with rage, bitterness, and entitlement for their political gain.

We can stop this from ever happening again by calling out socialism for what it is.
1
This is why I don't hate anyone more than liberals. Not Nazis, not Communists, not ISIS. 50 Democrats already support giving everyone $2000 until COVID is over, even though most people aren't even unemployed or under-employed from COVID. That is exactly the kind of out of control spending Maduro did.
1
Let them eat cake, right?
1
No. The American government didn't institute sanctions on Venezuela until March 2019.
1
@igordamjanovic8754 The US didn't impose an embargoes on Venezuela until 2018. Unless you count Barack Obama freezing the assets of seven people.
1
@rondoshabeez4714 These people will blame anything on America. Chavez even said the US caused the Earthquake in Haiti to test a secret weapon for the invasion of Iran.
1
You know it was these kinds of questions that caused Venezuela to slide into socialism and by extension poverty in the first place, right?
1
@MrPereiraAdriano Where does that contradict anything I said? (except that my point is even more valid because the US didn't impose significant economic sanctions until 2019)
1
Because the government instituted strong control measures before this.
1
Right, which is what socialism causes. In capitalism people who are good at managing resources get control of them, in socialism its the people who the government likes you get control. In capitalism the big-wigs have to manage things right if they want to keep getting customers, in socialism money is stolen through taxation no matter how much the people in charge suck.
1
Wrong. BBC had a video on Venezuelans buying rotting meat and Infographics had a video on Venezuela's hyper inflations before the embargoes were introduced.

In Doom Eternal's lore, Hell was once a perfect world named "Jekkad", but they became consumed with jealous rage at God's immortality, and turned their paradise into, well, Hell. There is a really strong parallel with Marxist/socialism today. Venezuela was the richest country in Latin America, but the jealous rage of socialism turned it into hell. In America, it similar, where the most ardent supporters of Communism are people who are already doing better than 99% of the world.

Lol nothing happened in Argentina? Are you serious?
1
Also if those economies were just as socialist as Venezuela, why weren't celebrities like Noam Chomsky and Sean Penn and Bernie Sanders praising them like they did Chavez?
