The West was supporting a populist uprising against a dictator who was shooting down protestors from jets and pulling the plug on hospitalized dissidents. Certainly no one would cheer us for taking the side of Gaddafi, and if we do nothing we're cowards and movies like Hotel Rwanda get made about it.

@Gabriel_Jr476 The West was supporting a populist uprising against a dictator who was shooting down protestors from jets you willfully blind piece of shit. If we had taken Gaddafi's side, you would call us nasty imperialist oppressors too, even though its logically impossible for both courses of action to be wrong.

As horrible as this is, imagine if we had sided with Gaddaffi while he was gunning down protestors from jets and pulling the plug on hospitalize dissenters. The exact same people screeching about how evil the West is would be calling us Nazi Imperialists who were oppressing Libyans through neo-colonialism. Should the US mind its own business more often? For the sake of our own interests, yes. But it is logically impossible for both sides of the conflict to be on the wrong side of history, yet no matter what side the US takes, people will say we're wrong.
