Would you vote for a President who decided to make everything "free"? Of course not, because that would lead to total economic collapse.   7. Why on God's Green Earth would the US do that? The Gulf War ended our oil trade with Iraq. America simply said "Deal with your problems with Kuwait as you wish, we'll stay out of it." They never expected him to invade the country.

The vast majority of Iraqi Civilians were killed by "insurgents, militia, and terrorists" according to Iraq Body Count (though anyone who was following the war closely at the time doesn't need a study to know this), no doubt in large part because they knew people like you would blame their Western enemies for their atrocities.

  11. 87% of civilians in Iraq were not killed by coalition forces according to Iraq Body Count. They were killed by people the Americans were there to kill and capture. Of course, the US is and likely always will be the only country that can be held responsible for the murders committed by its mortal enemies, so maybe that wouldn't make a difference to you.

  20. In order to paint Bush and Blair this way you have to hold them responsible for the atrocities committed by their mortal enemies, which they didn't have to do with Saddam. The overwhelming majority of Iraqi civilians were not killed by coalition forces, according to Iraq Body Count, but rather the people coalition forces were there to kill and capture. This was no doubt in large part because they knew people like you would blame their Western enemies for their atrocities.
