  5. The US lost Vietnam and Afghanistan, despite our first year in those wars looking 1000X better than Russia's first year in Ukraine. Despite those being smaller nations, especially relative to our population. Yet people keep saying "Russia will win in Ukraine", based on what exactly? Likely Russia will lose either way, the war will just drag on longer without US support for its predestined victor.

  15. If the US can't beat the Taliban, would someone please care to explain to me why you believe Russia could beat Ukraine? Especially considering: 1) The US is 10X as populace as Afghanistan, while the Russia is only 3X as populace as Ukraine 2) The US GDP is more than 5X Russia's GDP 3) Russia is under international sanctions 4) America's morale at the start of the Afghan War was infinitely higher than Russia's morale at the start of the Ukraine War. 5) Russia took staggering losses at the beginning of the war that shattered the world's perception of it being a super power (it makes scenarios like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Russian invasion of the US look outright comical) The idea Russia is predestined to win this war is so bizarre and unfounded it takes every bit of strength in me not to accuse people posting that dogma of being intentionally dishonest.

What we do know is it will embolden nations like China to attack nations like Taiwan. The US signed a treaty in 1994 to defend Ukraine in exchange for nuclear disarmament. If we can't even keep our treaty obligations four the price of 50 billion a year (while we spend 6 trillion a year on our own people), what will that say for our credibility?
