  2. There is no such goddamn motherfucking as a living wage and no such goddamn motherfucking thing as a "decent living." The price of rent can vary 10X from city to city, based on the wages of those around you, so everyone has drastically different costs of living. In 1950 the life expectancy was 65, the median house size was half what it is today, and no one had air conditioning or cable or internet yet we say those were "the good old days" where everyone could make a "decent living."
