  1. You should be glad he got a quick death. Those who crossed him weren't half as lucky. If the tables were turned Saddam would have tortured them for weeks and killed all their family members.

  3. Non-Iraqi Arabs loved Saddam. They never had to deal with their families being disappeared and tortured by his men, but got to see him stick it to the US and Israel and that's all they cared about. So when the US toppled Saddam, they came from all over the world to car bomb markets, blow up bridges, cut power lines, etc. and do anything to make Iraqis regret the transition to democracy. And it it worked more spectacularly than they imagined. The world blamed America for their atrocities and the Iraqis turned against the United States.
