Iraq is the one war where our enemies essentially admitted they had fought for the wrong side, turned their guns on their former allies, and joined us to erase the horrors their victories left behind. This was called the Anbar Awakening and its a major reason the war basically ended in 2008. Imagine being so obviously right that even your enemies join your side, and yet having this fight go down as one of your country's greatest shames. What a backwards, confused world.

  2. FFS, half the insurgents switched sides and joined the Americans after seeing the horrors their victories left behind. This was called "The Anbar Awakening" and essentially ended the war. Yet even despite this people still insist the insurgents were "freedom fighters". It's insane.
