  3. This is a fascinating idea, but I find it hard to believe big oil has such godly powers as to be able to murder anyone on a whim. Of course conspiracy theorists would say the US government is in cahoots, because they want their campaign donations. But if we’re going to look at this honestly, rather than trying to be cynical badasses, does big oil really have such an iron clad grip on every Commander and Chief? What do studies actually say about the correlation between a sitting President’s campaign donation relative to his competitors and his chance of re-election? The US government would have plenty of reason to get OFF oil, given we import almost all of it and much of it is bought from nations like Saudi Arabia.
