  1. This makes some sense to an extent, no point in competition when you can't choose between options. But this would apply to ER visits, but not things like surgery for chronic back pain, fertility treatments, etc. And at the same time, a one size fits all billing has its dangers. What if the hospital is in Manhattan, and has to pay way more in rent? Shouldn't they be entitled to charge more than a hospital in Detroit? EDIT: Alright, reading the comments I'm reminded why I'll never vote Democrat. Liberals hate America more than Bin Laden did. I think I'd rather keep a broken healthcare system than elect one your slimeballs in office.
