My dad was plenty involved, even though he worked his ass off. But he never did laundry (nor should he have to when my Mom was home all day or working part time).

"That's fine. Go ahead, play with the doll house, but you're still a boy." - Matt Walsh on Dr. Phil This seems to be the same message. They're not changing up their son's pronouns once he puts on the tiara, and he's still wearing mostly boyish clothing. If it was a girl dressed as a pirate, which is a hyper-masculine archetype, would anyone care?

Asking tradcons why girls can wear pants but boys can't wear dresses is like asking libs "What is a woman?" or "Why can't my kid be trans-racial?" They'll just ignore the question because they know they have no real answer. I generally like Matt Walsh, but the hypocrisy on this issue is really glaring. Honestly, it might be good to teach "it's okay for boys to wear dresses" because that way when a boy has an urge to put on a tiara he won't think he was born in the wrong body and needs to cut his dong off.

I have mixed feelings about this. First off, the boy is still clearly dressed as boy even with the dress and tiara, I think its more a statement against gender-specific clothing than trying to trans your child. And the tradcon hypocrisy here really strikes me because the idea that girls should be restricted to certain clothing has been so utterly obliterated in our society its basically impossible for women to cross-dress, yet none of you have a problem with that. Second, while two dads is not "normal", they still exist. So I don't see what's the big deal about putting a gay couple 8 episodes in.

Here's the thing, though, and I'm asking sincerely, not rhetorically: why is it society considers boys in dresses gender bending, but girls in pants has been fine and dandy for 100 years? The only explanation I can think of is that pants are more practical since you can do athletics in them.

@jds614 Good point. The hardest part is remembering to take the clothes out of the drier.

It's hilarious how the left loves when marriages are interracial but wants everything else segregated.
