The application of the word has become so broad its essentially a generic insult for white women.

At the very least it's disrespectful to people actually named Karen. And I'm sure if they stood up for themselves they'd be brutally mocked, so someone else has to.
4
I'm sure they care about Asian women's feelings. Calling it the N word is a little far, but its like calling random Black women Shaniqua.
4
These people can't take a punch, that's the problem.

You can get away with saying tarbaby, coon, chink, etc. for demonstrative purposes. Does that mean those aren't slurs? Besides, how would you like it if someone turned your name into a generic insult?
3
So as long as you have it better than someone, you don't deserve respect? You're disgusting. You couldn't care less about "privilege" or "history", you just think White people are born evil and thus deserve whatever comes out way. When someone makes an insensitive joke about Asians, you find a member of "The Model Minority" and hold them in your arms while they weep. Doesn't matter they were never enslaved, never subject to genocide, and have a higher average income in the US than White people. Same with the Jews, people of Indian descent, etc. Privilege means jack-shit to you and it's just dog whistle speak for what groups you like and don't like.

@carlholland3819 Stop being a Carl.

Stop being a Daniel.

Because being discriminated against is social currency. It's the only way to get empathy in society. Why don't people know names like Thomas Kelly, Tony Timpa, Daniel Shaver, etc. Because white people are 'privileged' and therefore deserve anything bad that comes our way.

@carlholland3819 Stop being a Carl.
2
Sometimes, not usually. But it's always anti-White.
2
It's a racial slur. It used to refer to a very specific personality type, now every time a white person is acting in a way someone doesn't like they say "Karen." It's as meaningless and generic as the term f_g.

Tar baby, gook, chink...the only slur you "can't say" is the n-word.
1
The problem is "Karen" has become so generic in its application it no longer means anything, it's just a generic insult like f@g. And since it only seems to be applied to White people, that makes it a racial slur.

Stop being such a Jonathan.
1
Maybe, but "sense of entitlement" is so broad its hard to tell when its not just a generic insult.
1
No, it's become a racial slur. It's always applied to white women but beyond that it's as meaningless and generic as the term f@g
1
Hollywood casting is the best way to prove that. Aladdin and Raya and the Last Dragon don't need diversity, but Lord of the Rings does.
1
It used to be a upper middle class White soccer mom ages 35 - 45. Now its just become a generic slur for White women.

If you doubt diversity is about something other than hating white people, look at Hollywood casting. A recent study reported by no less than NPR showed blacks are over-represented in the media, composing 14% of the population but getting 18% of screen time. Whites are represented almost perfectly proportionately with 71% of screen time. Yet the left is still obsessed with swapping out white characters for black characters in the name of "diversity". Meanwhile Hispanics get only 5% of screen time, despite being 18% of the population, but the left couldn't care less. Because diversity just means less white people.
1
Okay Tyrone.
1
That proves the opposite. The fact Blacks don't feel offended by it proves it has anti-White connotations.

How would you like it if someone turned your name into a generic insult.
1
@Syrph. You're still using the term and promoting it as a generic insult.
1
"Karen" itself is annoying. It basically what the word 'f_g' was in Idiocracy, a generic insult for people with no vocabulary and a herd mentality.
1
Regardless of whether its anti-white, how would you like it if someone turned your name into a generic insult?
1
Okay Shaniqua.
1
@tell-me-a-story- I just feel bad for actual women named Karen. And I don't think they could stand up for themselves without being brutally mocked.
1
How would you like it if someone turned you name into a generic insult. And also, no, you can't avoid being a Karen because its become as meaningless as the word 'f_g' was in Idiocracy. Leftwing women are called Karens, rightwing women are called Karens, I remember watching the Skinwalker Ranch and someone was accused of having a "Karen imagination." It's no different than how Middle Schoolers used to call everyone they didn't like gay.
1
"Entitled" is a such a nebulous concept it essentially just became a generic insult. One that only seems to be applied to White women.
1
The best proof diversity is just anti-white is to look at Hollywood casting. According to a recent study reported by no less than NPR, Blacks are over-represented in the media, yet Hollywood keeps swapping out White characters for Black ones. Meanwhile, Hispanics have an abysmal representation, with 18% of the population but 5% of the screen time, and yet the left couldn't care less. All they care about is taking roles away from White actors.

It makes me so angry people actually fall for the idea it has something to do with "privilege." No. They just hate white people for being born white. They think Asians are so privileged they need to be kept down harder than whites with Affirmative Action, yet they never tell anyone yellow to "shut up and check [their] privilege." If Dave Chappelle makes an insensitive joke about the Chinese, the SJWs will gladly hold them in their arms while they cry a river of tears.
