  13. What really makes my blood boil is that it was probably a White person who gave that foul-mouthed Black guy his special graduation ceremony. Hating White people when you live in Africa is one thing, but hating White people while we pander to you in countries where we supposedly have all the power is another.

  16. That's completely untrue. Most Latin American countries were basically colorblind for most of their history, that's why looking Hispanic basically means look mixed.

  25. Latin America had colorblind nations for centuries. That's why they're so mixed. It's natural for certain segments of society to be dominated by certain races, but its not natural for any race to exclusive domain over anything.

I've spent my life mingling with people of all races just fine, so I'm tempted to say White people should take the moral high ground and not stoop to their level when I read these comments calling for a reinstitution of old school segregation. But we tried to set that example for 50 f***ing years. We passed 3 Civil Rights legislations, made MLK's birthday a holiday, and then spent the next few decades making every White person who expressed the slightest racist or segregationist sentiment a social pariah. We told them "I feel your pain, what we did was wrong, we'll make sure it never happens again" for four or five decades. Instead of all ships rising with the tide, it had a see-saw effect: the less we hate them, the more they hate us.
